John Muir wrote between two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life. How true and how fitting that is for us and why we are sharing with you our new way of life. I am sure we will stumble, and fall, and likely have a number of amusing stories that will make you laugh out loud, or cringe with us. But hopefully it will also give you hope and challenge you to walk through the pine trees and find your own new way of life.

Sam and I are new to each other, we have been dating only about 2 years now, but- oh my, the adventures we have been on! Hiking in the north Georgia mountains, backpacking, tent camping, kayaking, or just star gazing at the top of a mountain, we have had some pretty incredible adventures. Sam has had a few Jeeps in his life and has introduced me to off-roading. Let’s just say it was love at first sight, there was lots of screaming, whooping, and big smiles! I mean it’s like hiking from a car! Kristy had gone backpacking before she met Sam, and Sam always wanted to try. So we packed our packs and went on some pretty incredible walks. One in particular had 40 water crossings within 20 miles. And I mean white water, waist deep! It was an adventure I will never forget and someday maybe I will tell you about the alien I thought I saw in the woods (it was actually fire flies, but was I scared). Last summer we rented a tear drop trailer and drug it up to South Dakota for 10 days and tried our hands at boondocking. It was incredible. That was it. Trailer on order, and we are ready to do this long term.

Why do we think we can do this? Well why not. Neither of us is new to at least long vacations in trailers. We love the outside and both of us have loads of experience being out in it. Our kids are grown and self sufficient. Really there isn’t any good reason why not.

So the trailer is ordered and we are in full prep mode. Join us on our fun.

Snowing in Georgia? no problem we took the jeep to the top of a mountain and then hiked up the remaining 8 miles!
