This is our front porch view for the next week. Sitting here watching big horn sheep and listening to coyotes howl surveying the expanse that is the badlands.

We listened to a number of podcasts on the way here this time. Some were a bust but a few were gems. The story of a 1880s mountain man talking about his time trapping and trading between St Louis (as we drove through that city) to the mountains of Montana (where we are heading). And the couple who drove the pan American highway. They call their adventures Dirt Sunrise. The name comes from that time when you awake at camp and all the stress of daily life is gone. It didn’t take till sunrise today to realize that life doesn’t get much better than this!
